Terms of Service (revised 03/13/2024)


Golden Scoopers LLC (‘Golden Scoopers’), is an independently owned and operated business (“us”, “we”, or “our”) that provides pet waste removal services to Residential and Commercial properties. Our services are designed to offer convenience through one-time cleanups and regular maintenance plans, with additional options for yard deodorization and sanitization.

By using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”), which govern your use of our services provided through our website or directly by our team. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of our services immediately.

Services Offered

We provide comprehensive dog waste removal services, including regular poop pickup on a monthly subscription basis (weekly cleanup, twice weekly cleanup, or every other week cleanup), one time pet waste removal, and optional yard deodorization and sanitization services. Pricing is based on frequency, number of dogs, and yard size.

Scheduling and Access

Initial service: During the initial visit we may require your presence for quote verification and process overview. For recurring services, we require access to your yard. You do not need to be home for these visits.

Access Issues: Reliable access to your property is crucial. In cases of locked, frozen, or broken gates preventing entry, we will attempt to contact you via phone, text, and knock on your door. If access is not granted within 10 minutes, we will have to skip the service for the week and will return on your next scheduled day. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure gates are accessible, taking weather conditions into account.

Weather Policy

Golden Scoopers LLC is committed to providing consistent and reliable service throughout the year, adjusting our operations to accommodate various weather conditions for the safety of our staff and the effectiveness of our service. Our weather policy is as follows:

  • Rain: Our services will continue during rain, except in cases of excessive rainfall that hinders our ability to effectively perform our duties or creates unsafe driving conditions. If we are unable to service your property due to excessive rain, we will return on your next scheduled day.
  • Lightning: The safety of our staff is our top priority. If lightning conditions pose a risk at the time of service, we will cancel the service for that day and return on your next regular scheduled appointment.
  • Strong Wind: Service will only be canceled if wind conditions are excessive and pose a threat to the safety of our staff. We will make every effort to return on your next scheduled service day in such instances.
  • Heavy Snow: In Colorado, where snow can melt relatively quickly, we will continue our services unless snow accumulation is rapid and significant enough to conceal the waste or hinder our access. Should heavy snow prevent us from servicing your property, we will cancel for the day and scoop on your next regularly scheduled visit.
  • Heat Advisory: We will operate during high temperature conditions, canceling only if the heat becomes excessive and poses a health risk to our staff. This situation is infrequent but will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Cold Advisory: Service will continue during cold weather, but we will cancel if temperatures drop to a point where it poses a threat to our staff’s health. This condition is rare and will be evaluated for each occurrence.

Billing during Weather Events: Billing for our services will continue as normal since the service is based on a monthly subscription. In the event of a weather-related cancellation, we are committed to ensuring all accumulated waste is removed on your next scheduled visit. Your regular billing cycle will not be adjusted for weather cancellations, as we will fulfill our service commitment by cleaning all the poop from your property on your next possible service day.

Equipment and Safety

Our equipment is sanitized after each use to ensure the safety and cleanliness of your property.

Our team wears uniforms for easy identification, with variations according to season.

Pet Safety

Pets should be secured prior to our arrival if they are not comfortable with strangers or pose an escape risk during our visits.

Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are dissatisfied with our service for any reason, we offer a prioritized rescoop to make things right.

Billing and Payments

Golden Scoopers LLC ensures a transparent and straightforward billing process for both one-time and recurring services. Below are the details of our billing practices:

  • Scheduling: A working credit or debit card is required to schedule any service with Golden Scoopers LLC. Your card information will be securely collected during the scheduling process but will not be charged until the completion of the initial services. This requirement helps streamline the payment process and ensures service efficiency.
  • One Time Services: For one-time services, an initial quote will be provided based on the description of your property and the services requested. This quote is subject to adjustment after an in-person review of your property on the day of service. We aim to ensure fairness and accuracy in our pricing, and any changes to the initial quote will be confirmed with you before service begins. Payment for one-time services will be collected immediately following the completion of the services, ensuring that billing corresponds accurately with the service provided.
  • Recurring Services: During the initial review of your property for recurring services, the provided quote will be adjusted if necessary and confirmed with you. This ensures our pricing accurately reflects the scope of work required for your specific property conditions. Upon completion of the initial service, the card on file will be charged with the amount for the initial scoop and a prorated amount for the remaining time in the month. This proration ensures you only pay for the actual period of service until the start of the next full billing cycle. Starting on the 1st of the following month, your card will be charged the standard recurring service amount you signed up for. This amount reflects the regular monthly rate for the chosen frequency of service (weekly, twice weekly, or every other week). 
  • Payments Accepted: We accept credit and debit cards only. No cash, personal checks, or money orders are accepted.
  • Automatic Payments: For recurring services, your payment method will be set up for automatic payments, charged on the first of each month. Initial service charges will be at the time of service. One time cleaning services will be charged at the completion of the service.
  • No Payment: If an issue arises with your payment method, please inform us immediately. Declined cards will pause services until resolved. Recurring services paused for more than 2 weeks due to payment issues will require a one-time cleanup prior to resumption. If a card issue arises on the initial service payment, you will not be eligible for recurring services until payment is received and a working card is on file.
  • Late Payment: If a payment is late for more than 3 days and there has been no communication made, you will be charged a $10 late fee.

Service Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel services at any time with at least 7 days notice.

Holidays and Scheduled Shutdowns

Golden Scoopers LLC observes specific holidays and scheduled shutdown periods throughout the year to allow our staff time with their families and to perform maintenance on our equipment. Our service will be paused during these times:

Holidays: We will be closed and not providing services on the following holidays:

  • Memorial Day
  • 4th of July and the day after
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day and the day after
  • Christmas week
  • New Year’s Day

Scheduled Shutdowns: In addition to holiday closures, Golden Scoopers LLC will have two scheduled shutdowns each year:

  • The week of Christmas: This coincides with the holiday closure to extend our staff’s time with their families and for end-of-year maintenance.
  • An additional week during the summer: The exact dates will vary each year and are selected based on various factors, including staff availability.

Communication and Reminders: Golden Scoopers LLC is committed to keeping our clients informed and prepared for any service interruptions. Reminders of all holidays and scheduled shutdown periods will be sent out prior to your scheduled service via email or SMS. This advance notice is to ensure you are aware of our service schedule.

We understand the importance of our services to your daily life and strive to minimize any inconvenience caused by these scheduled closures. Our goal is to maintain the highest level of service quality and reliability throughout the year while respecting the well-being of our dedicated team.

Yard Conditions

  • Lawn Maintenance: Visibility is key to effective cleanup. Overgrown lawns or Obstructive conditions such as (but not limited to) overgrown lawns, leaves, and snow accumulation may prevent thorough cleaning. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the lawn is properly maintained so we can scoop the poop effectively. Golden Scoopers LLC is not responsible for missed piles due to overgrown lawns.
  • Frozen Waste: In colder weather there are chances of waste freezing to the ground. In this event we will attempt to scoop the poop, but if we are unable we will leave this behind. 
  • Trampolines and Obstructed Areas: We cannot clean areas under trampolines or in locations where access is obstructed. Please ensure these areas are accessible before our arrival.
  • Difficult Yards: Yards with challenging conditions such as rocks, mulch, or excessive shrubbery may incur an additional fee.

Liability and Limitations

Golden Scoopers LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from the use of our service. We strive for the highest service quality but cannot be held responsible for conditions beyond our control.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, with continued service use post-changes indicating agreement to the new Terms.
